SEC Shorts LIVE!
The popular viral sketch comedy group is coming to host a live, special performance the night before the MSU vs. Auburn football game.
Since launching in 2014, SEC Shorts has built a national following by turning the biggest stories, frustrations and absurdities of Southeastern Conference football into weekly comedy sketches. Created by Clay and Snead in Birmingham, Alabama, the series is seen by millions of college football fans each season and has become a familiar part of the Monday-after-football routine for fans across the conference.
Over the years, SEC Shorts has imagined struggling football teams checking into an emergency room, programs attending group therapy, SEC contenders fighting for seats on a College Football Playoff train and even the personification of “Hope” repeatedly breaking the hearts of Georgia fans. More recent sketches have tackled the rapidly changing world of college athletics, including the transfer portal, NIL, conference realignment and the increasingly difficult task of simply knowing who is still on your favorite team’s roster.
The group describes its mission simply as “exploring the craziness that is college football down south.” Its sketches have grown from videos created by Clay and Snead into a recurring cast of characters and concepts familiar to longtime viewers.
SEC Shorts LIVE! brings that comedy off the screen with an entirely original show created specifically for the stage. Rather than recreating sketches available online, the traveling production features stage-only material, original sketches, audience participation and games built around the shared experience of being a college football fan. The show is family-friendly.
